Product Description

The metal bellows expansion joint is a compensating element for thermal expansion and relative motion in pipes, vessels and machines. They consist of one or more metal bellows, connectors at each end, and tie rods depending on the application. They are distinguished by three basic types of motion: axial, angular, and transverse telescopic joints.

 

A metal bellows is an elastic vessel that can be compressed, or expanded under vacuum, when pressure is applied to the outside of the vessel. When the pressure or vacuum is released, the bellows will return to their original shape (if the material is not stressed beyond the yield strength).

 

Feature of stainless steel expansion joint metal bellows:
