 Excellent Chloride Resistance: The addition of 2-3% Molybdenum provides significantly enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to 304/304L grades. This makes them the preferred choice for handling seawater, brines, chlorinated process streams, and salt-laden atmospheres.
 General Corrosion Resistance: They exhibit strong resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including many acids, alkalis, and sulfates.
· Resistance to Intergranular Corrosion: The ultra-low carbon content (≤0.03%) minimizes the risk of carbide precipitation in the weld heat-affected zone (HAZ).

This ensures excellent performance in the as-welded condition, maintaining corrosion integrity at welds.
