The rubber expansion joint is generally composed of a smooth waveform compensation element with rubber flanges at both ends and a metal flange. Loose tube structure is often adopted for metal flange.
The surface of the waveform compensation element is rubber, and the inner layer is sandwich reinforced by several layers of strong fibers or steel strips (wires). Reinforcing fiber or steel strip (wire) and other reinforcing interlayer extend to the rubber flange at both ends, and there is a hard steel wire skeleton in the flange. The rubber expansion joint has a large displacement compensation capacity, which can compensate the axial, transverse and angular displacement, reduce noise, reduce vibration and have a certain anti-corrosion capacity. It is characterized by high pressure resistance, good elasticity, large displacement, good vibration absorption and noise reduction effect, and convenient installation, and can be widely used in water supply and drainage, HVAC, fire protection, compressor, paper making, pharmaceutical, ship, water pump, fan and other pipeline systems.
Rubber expansion joint has ultra-high performance, reliability and service life, so it can improve plant safety and mechanical integrity of equipment. Due to the insertion of specially designed products in rigid piping systems, rubber expansion joints can:
Reduce displacement
Improve thermal stability
Release system strain caused by heat change, load stress, pump pressure fluctuation and sediment wear
Reduce mechanical noise
Compensating eccentricity
Eliminate electrolysis between different metals
